Artibus Legibus Consiliis

I'm not familiar with Latin so I looked online for the translation of the words above the door of St George's Hall in Liverpool.

The full inscription translates as 'Arts, Law and Counsel the townspeople built this place in 1841' Still used as a concert venue, the Registry Office is now here too, it's a grand venue for weddings. My step-daughter got married here a couple of years ago, the photos on the steps with these columns in the background were lovely.

A rather dull day today, walked through the city centre with the camera this afternoon so took a few architectural shots en route. I liked this one better in b&w.

Excellent shot! Love the processing and your pov. Have you thought of entering it into the b&w challenge for architecture?

@dyanstevens thanks Dyan, I've had so little time on here recently, I've not seen the challenge but I'll take a look. Thanks, I appreciate it :-)
