Manchester's water
A wet and gloomy day in the Lake District but we had an interesting walk on this forest path alongside Thirlmere.
This is the reservoir that supplies the city of Manchester with water, I'm sure everyone who lives there will be glad it rained so much today.
There's an 96-mile aqueduct that takes the water (no pumps, just gravity) at 4 miles per hour, so today's rain should be there sometime tomorrow.
