Tying itself up in knots

I was fascinated to see this long stringy thing moving around the lavender this morning, I'm pretty sure I've never seen one before. As I'm in 30 days wild mode I figured it was worth further investigation and a photograph, even though it wasn't my favourite find of the week.

I think, after a bit of research, that it's a horsehair worm, here's a link if you're interested in knowing more....

It rained a lot today so it was probably in its element.
Fascinating! I've never seen one of those. Is that 'stripe' food or guts inside it or was it an actual stripe on the worm?!
