Legs bigger than its belly

It never ceases to amaze me how many weird and wonderful critters live in the garden.

I found this very long legged spider, not surprised to find that it's called a daddy long legs spider.

It wasn't too keen on posing for a photo so it's not the best focus. It disappeared pretty quickly and I couldn't find it again so this might be a one off!
Wow! What great focusing.

Nice close up! These are not actually spiders - they're a member of arachnid family but are in a different order (opiliones). They seem to have different names in places - I've heard people refer to them as daddy long legs spiders before but I've always known them as harvestmen! Daddy long legs are cran0 flies where I come from! Funny how the names get used differently.

@roachling daddy long legs have always been crane flies for me too. When I looked up harvestmen online I found that they're called daddy long leg spiders in some places, I can see why but when I counted the legs they don't seem to have 8!

@inthecloud5 They do have eight legs, but I think they come off easily as they often seem to be missing one or two!
