Went to the beach tonight to experiment with the filters, hoping the battery would last long enough for some long exposure shots.
It looked like there might be a proper sunset but the cloud came in too soon, there was a bit of pink in the sky though and the colour seemed to reflect on the sand.
I was amazed that the birds on the rocks don't seem to move hardly at all while I was taking this, they were standing like statues.
Beautiful. When I did my first 365 a few years ago, there was a guy who specialised in these shots and I think he went on to start his own photography business on the back of it!
I'm so glad you posted this as a favourite; it's gorgeous and I see this splendid picture wasn't just a fluke! I love what little I've just seen of your work, and it will be wonderful to see this part of the world through your lens! I'll be following!
@ukandie1 Thank you! I got the Lee filters that someone recommended to me, Big stopper and ND 0.6 soft grad. I'm a beginner too and have enjoyed experimenting, plenty of trial and error! They're easy to set up and use, there's an app to help with exposure times which is really useful (when you remember to take your phone with you). I'll probably invest in some more when I've got a bit more time to play :-)
