Do Nuts

I've had another look at the photos I took yesterday to see which suit b&w best. Some of the shots, particularly those with the textures of the bricks and ironwork around the dock, which I thought might work, didn't. I think it was a lack of contrast, the light makes a huge difference.

I thought this one would only work in colour, the van is bright pink, but I liked it when I tried it in b&w. I waited for a while for some people to come along but I think the girl in the van was too busy chatting on her phone to serve customers!

I thought the shapes were interesting here, changing all the time with the light and reflections in the modern glass buildings.

Learning a lot doing the flash of red month, thanks to everyone who commented on the dock image yesterday, I really appreciate them.
Most excellent b&w capture...so many interesting things to look at in this well composed photo

I'm a real fan of B&W. This one works very well. The sky can always be a challenge I find.

This certainly works:)

@ellida thanks Graham. I agree, the sky was challenging, the light was changing all the time. No doubt it would look better with a filter but I don't have them yet for the Fuji so I might do some more editing to improve that patch of sky.
