We spent the day at Hermaness in the north of Shetland on the island of Unst. There are thousands of seabirds here including puffins. We sat and watched them for ages, they were so close and not at all bothered by two people sitting next to them, as long as we weren't getting in the way of them popping into the burrow with new nesting material.
I could probably fill a whole month with puffin photos so it's hard to choose just one but I think this is my favourite of the day.
I loved watching puffins when I saw them in Lunga (in the Hebrides) this is brilliant. They made such entertaining chatty noises and were such characters
