The big 100, I was planning big things to celebrate such a momentous occasion. As it turned out I had to do all silly things like taking the children to school, studying and working. With tea at mum's and a "Badgers" presentation evening to look forward to I decided to spend half an hour out of my study time going for a wander down to the river (whilst planning an essay in my head of course). Typically, I found the tide right out and with not much time I wasn't able to venture far down the river.
So, I had to revert to how I can usually be found when I have my camera - lying on the floor and crawling around in damp grass attempting to take a macro of a flower. Today, you may have noticed, its a buttercup. My first buttercup for 365 and probably not the last. The problem with crawling around on the floor is 2 fold. Firstly its quite embarrasing when dog walkers pass you and see me emerging from behind bushes or, in today's case, just sprawling around in the middle of the grass. The second problem is then having to walk back to the car with damp dirty knees - you do get some strange looks!
So, whilst I hoped to have something a bit more interesting than another flower for my 100th day, I didn't manage it. Never mind, it could be worse. Well actually it is - I smashed my iphone! Thank goodness for insurance.
Well a number of things Sara spring to mind here....... 1stly congratulations on Number 100, 2ndly this needs to be viewed large to get the full impact, 3rdly made me laugh in your commentry on this one which as usual is very entertaining & finally this is very good & worthly of Number 100 with the angle, clours & DOF etc . PS - Not just being nice either all the above are true :-) Happy 100th....
Thanks Simon :) Glad you liked it and you're right, it is best viewed large (I hadn't looked until you pointed it out, thank you). Glad the commentary made you laugh - it can be quite embarrasing the things you have to do for this 365 lark :)
Congrats on making it to 100, from the start you have taken beautiful pictures. I love your shots Sara, keep up the great work and may your next 100 be as much fun as the first 100.. By the way, great shot :o)
100 up already, I can't believe how the time is flying and how much I'm enjoying spending half my life faffing around looking for a half decent pic every day. I suppose the only thing that makes it bearable is that you are suffering alongside me :-) happy clicking.
