After very trying and exhausting day, I stepped outside to catch a peek at one of the first lightning storms of the year. All I could see was the constant flashing glow behind the clouds with the occasional bolt breaking free and shooting across the sky but I figured I'd give it a try anyway. It was starting to sprinkle and I was tired and grumpy so I had limited angles at which to view the show. This was shot from my porch. That is part of the roof on my house in the left hand corner. And the rest, ladies and gentlemen, is my very first lightning catch ever.
Great shot! Quite envious too as I was hoping to get a shot of a lightning storm whilst I was in Florida recently, alas there was none close to where I was.
My bucket list too although we need the heat to create a storm in the UK!
