I just emerged from a heated family discussion about how people see things differently. Not in the context of arguing or disagreeing, but more on the basis of "one man's junk is another man's treasure". I would like to tell you why I found the whole topic ironic.
I had just stepped down from my perch over the dining room table where I witnessed the most amazing thing... I decided to light a candle tonight and see what kind of shots I could get. One of my 4 year old's fancy, jeweled bracelets was sitting nearby so I decided to see what kind of glow I could get. I was standing almost directly over the candle, focusing on the bracelet and trying to decide which angle was best but, no matter what, my eye was drawn back to the reflection the flame was giving off in the liquified wax. I looked more closely and it was then that I saw them... the two figures dancing in the candlelight. I literally stood back and blinked my eyes a few times to readjust and there they were again, dancing and swaying in the soft glow until they faded off together. Now, logic tells me that it was the reflection of the burning wick. And my brain tells me that some people will see just a candle. My heart, however, knows that, if you look at it differently, it can be so much more.
And it was.

this is so cool, I just viewed large as my husband looked up and the first words he said were "are there people in the middle?" Guess I got a dreamer :) fav
