Have you ever seen a mayfly? Probably, right? But, the real question is - have you ever seen a mayfly up close? After seeing this, the answer to that question will be "Yes".
I noticed this interesting character was on my back door this morning while in the midst of a mad fury of preparation for our day. I just had to grab my macro lens again and get all up in his business for a photo. Thankfully, he was a willing subject. I will post different photos of him, at different angles, on another day. For now, I just HAD to share this one because it made me smile. He was a happy mayfly.
