Tarring Hollyhocks by ivan

Tarring Hollyhocks

This afternoon we were in Tarring (sharp 'a', as in 'at', 'cat'). It's a part of Worthing on the South Coast of West Sussex and it was here I spent most of my teens.

The hollyhocks are there every year, next to public tennis courts. Behind you see a small portion of the parish church, St Andrew's, a place very familiar to me in those teenage years. If you are interested further this is a link: https://maeers-smith.org.uk/st-andrews-west-tarring/

I've never heard of that place - thanks for pronunciation. Love hollyhocks.

The hollyhocks are showing up everywhere just now and looking lovely - as here. Great to revisit these places of importance in our lives.

They grow even between the coble stones in the street. Great shot of yours. Fav,

I'm glad the hollyhocks are always there, so much else changes these days.
