Old School ..interior

You can see where the divider would have been, it would have separated two classes. There was one desk left when I found this place, last weekend. I wonder how many pupils passed through here? In front of the desk is the fire place which heated the whole building. My father who attended a school like this said it was more important that a pupil brought fuel for the fire in winter than their books.. Remembering Tom Morley on this fathers day...
Love the greens and the faded paint! And the brambles coming in.

Very interesting and wonderfully done. But I can't help wondering, don't you sometimes get a bit tired of green in Ireland.

This is amazing. It always amazes me how buildings with so much history can be just left to ruin. This location is a photographers dream!

I am imagining children bringing a few pieces of wood, or coal in their book bag. This is such a great capture. The lighting, and tones are wonderful. Love it!

At first when I look at this shot i see the starkness of it, how it is a derelict space, but when I read your words it comes to life and I wonder how different it was than when my mum was a child. Though she grew up in Dublin, she certainly did not have a childhood that I did.
