I'm not often homesick, but when I see this, I am. The use of the bike to get you to the shop, your friends, school, whatever (so pure practical and not as a sport) . When I still lived in Utrecht, my Welsh partner was mighty impressed that I could manage to cycle with one hand holding the steering wheel and one hand holding a crate of beer on the back of the bike :-)
