The end of the line by jack4john

The end of the line

This is the result of flooding on the Galway to Dublin rail line, near the town of Gort. Storm Frank blew it self out this morning and we got a few hours of weak winter sun. Small mercies i guess...
Brilliant.

It's a restful image, tranquil even. No locomotive is going to go blasting through this scene. Those waterfowl enjoying their new territory near the signal post know this. As does, I suppose, the photographer.

Tough choice, but I prefer this one (by a nose). I am very sorry for your flooding, but this is a lovely shot.

Amazing shot. Reminds me of the powers of the nature some of us may forget about.. This was the dark side of the power.
