First of all I must say a HUGE thank you to all my 365 friends who looked at, commented and fav'd my photo yesterday of the little jewel droplet!!!!! I am so absurdly chuffed to see it has made the PP, I am amazed and humble, thank you all so much!
Well, this is my first challenge (Awesome August) and my first photo..... Days 1 - 5, Olympic sports! I spent an inordinate amount of time with these little men and their props, and I have taken tomorrow's photo today as well as my husband is off work tomorrow. I couldn't possibly muck around with water, lighting props etc. etc. with him in the house, he would be totally lacking in comprehension. (Not my fault if he doesn't appreciate art in the making eh?!)
Oh this is just lovely and we got a gold too!! well chosen, goodness must have taken ages!! No. husbands certainly don't understand 365 I spent an hour with a dripping tap and a baking tray!!! Think I will have to fav this art form!!!
Ha ha. I love it! I think we should give our Olympians toothpicks to row with. And didn't Brittain get it's first gold today in rowing...you must have known!
@peadar - thanks Peter.... yes it did take a while! The little rowers had a mind of their own, a bit like dominoes, and all fell into each other at the drop of a hat! And then they kept dropping their oars (toothpicks...!) As I took the photo I hardly dared breathe! Thanks for the fav....!
@yonnie - I know, it's just too sentimental to get rid of isn't it? Most of this was my eldest son's (he's nearly 32) and my youngest son who is 20 loved it and now my grandsons play with it... it's timeless.
@girlie - thanks robin! Am not sure I haven't read it too simply, am thinking it should be more obscure or just alluding to the sport?! Oh well, it certainly made me take a different shot and I had fun!
@jackie8 I've seen others far less creative and less obscure than yours, so I'm sure you're fine. These things are always open to very wide interpretation anyway, which is good!
Fantastic!!!
LOL at hubby not understanding....they just dont understand Art (says she who was caught with jelly and glow sticks in a dark kitchen recently)
@monika64 -phaahhahaha!!!! That did make me laugh... Caught in the act with jelly and glow sticks, bet you wish the ground could have opened up and swallowed you!!! In those situations I always casually ask if he'd like a cup of tea ...( he is big on tea!)
@1977 - no, I usually glance at it most days, there are some great photos on there, so I was gobsmacked to see my little lego men there... I did like my jewel on the rose leaf, but didn't think it was anything extraordinary. Feel very humble...
Well done on making the PP page, well deserved as it was fab :)

Great set up @jackie8
Do you get notification if you reach the PP page, or is it just by people who follow you ?
