George..... by jackie8

George.....

I was enlisted to help out at my grandsons' school bazaar today (this is the youngest one, George,) as the 'official photographer' in the Father Christmas grotto! I had to use the school camera though, which was all wi-fi-d up to a laptop which was all wi-fi'd up to a printer (beyond me..!)

A lovely two hours, and the children were all suitably awe struck by a very good Father Christmas! Among the most popular requests were ipads and ipad minis (!!), someone asked for pierced ears, another to be an elf in Lapland, and yet another wanted an amp for his electric guitar (these are all children under 8...!) And bless one little chap who just wanted a new dressing gown...

Lovely portrait of your grandson! Hope you are having a great Saturday!

@fannyb - yes Fanny, this is little George, he is very photogenic (biased I know) and always stops what he is doing and smiles so willingly! Oliver (the older one) just cannot keep still or smile naturally for the camera! Haha re the jigsaws ..... Father Christmas did well to keep a straight face when some things were requested!

Love your soft focus. George actually looks like a very young father christmas with his pink cheeks, colouring and big smile. Hope he gets his wish for a dressing gown (bless his little heart)

Love the tones in this & the idea of an 8 yr old with an electric guitar. :)

Oh, a dressing gown, and to be an elf - how sweet and reassuring! This little chap is gorgeous and his hair was meant for an angel- though perhaps he is one?? But there is something about that cheeky look that makes me wonder . . . !!

I loved reading your list of things the children requested. Last but one choice middle son would like (although he's nearly 19) and youngest son (16) has asked for a new dressing gown :o) Beautiful shot of your Grandson. I love the soft blue tones xx
