81. If in doubt......

Photograph flowers......! Have spent quite a while today going through my shorthand and pile of papers from yesterday's meeting, and it is very cold and windy out there today, so I didn't fancy outdoor photography! I did pick this tiny campanula (?) flower from the garden with it's little bunch of buds, and positioned it with some backlight.

Can I just say a HUGE thank you to everyone who fav'd my 'Silver Lining' photo last week, which made it to the TT this week. I am so delighted and thrilled, it's such an honour to be on there with such talented photographers.
So soft and pretty.

I nearly started with the exact same saying for my window display pic earlier in the week! Beautiful colours, composition and focus. Fav.

You kindly asked about my husbands brother, he died age 34 of leukaemia. It was a terrible loss, not least because he was very mildly mentally disabled ( not enough oxygen at birth) and so still lived at home with his parents. It's been 18 months now since he died.

I was shocked to hear you were a widow so young. The same happened to my mum, her first husband died of cancer when she was 34, leaving her with a 13 and 11 year old. She met my dad five years later.

@cazla - what a tragic loss for your husband and his parents. A parent should never have to bury a child, no matter how old. I remarried 5 years after my first husband died, but I think of him every day, mostly with a smile, but on anniversary dates the pain and hurt comes back afresh.
