132. Windblown.....

A funny old day really! I was supposed to be out with a friend to an arboretum near Colchester, but the forecast was not good, plus she was not replying to texts, so plans were very uncertain! Eventually she touched base, and we decided to have an afternoon at my house experimenting with flash as she has just acquired a new Yongnuo speedlite and had no clue what to do with it. This is something I have been working hard to learn and understand and so I was her willing sitter while I showed her how to use a simple settings set up.
There was also tea and cake, which was good!
I pinched this dandelion from next door's garden (house is empty as it is up for sale) and bought it indoors to have a bit more control over the spores flying away. Not quite the image I had in mind, but trying to create an air flow and hold the camera while checking the flash resulted in this one image out of about 30 that was kind of ok.
I think you did a great job on this. Super macro.

You did a great job with this one! Fascinating to think you did this with controlled lighting and still got the spore in flight.

I like this capture- it's like the moment before the seed actually takes off. Nice shot!
