Great shot, Jackie. Love the boats and the fog. It reminds me of when I went sailing off the coast of Maine June of 2008 to visit my mum's latitude and longitude gravesite. It was almost like my mum had arranged it with Stephen King to create a scene from The Mist.

@flygirl @stuckinoz @hayleymolloycook @kathyboyles @prttblues thanks all. even though a perfect Grand Traverse Bay blue sky provides a special treat, hazy days on the bay are special in their own way...it certainly added to the calm of the bay on this day to make the shot a little more serene.

What a stunning shot. Absolute fav. I am your get pushed partner this week.
Please can you take a photo of water presented in a colourful way.
It could be food dye dispersing or some other unique representation.
I was given a similar shot to,do last week. http://365project.org/neatz/themes-and-comp/2015-07-05

A beautifully serene shot. That red flag is a great focal point. Fav

I love photos of sailing vessels and this one gets my vote! The sails with a flat profile are really different from the ones I usually see.

@lisamccloskey @vera365 @rieva @lyndemc @vstap @redy4et @northy thank you everyone. it was a beautiful very warm hazy day perfect for our first day here...this is such beautiful water and Michiganders are so blessed to be able to make use of it for recreation all summer long!

@neatz I don't know if you saw my challenge but I challenged you to do a water photo as well but a composed one...if you do not wish to do another one, please show me a panning shot...you should be good at this after all those gymnastics competition action photos!

Beautiful capture, and I love the haze - looks kind of mysterious! My sister and her family have been to Michigan a couple of times for vacation, and they love the water/beaches there!

Beautiful shot! The bigger boat kind of reminds me of a tall ship. They have a tall ships festival here every 3 years and I took some shots of them the last time they were here. Great capture!

@kimdavis @boatpainter this is the tall ship Manitou...it even went out the day the water was rougher...I guess the bay is still calmer than the big water! our beaches are awesome Kim!
