cast by my outdoor lights this is a garden ornament we received from my b-i-l and s-i-l as a housewarming gift for our new home. our state Michigan has two peninsulas, the lower formed in the shape of a mitten by the Great Lakes. if you are from the east side of the state you can tell people you are from the Detroit area and they will know where that is for the most part. the Old English "D" is kind of a trademark of the city I guess because it's the letter logo for our professional baseball team The Detroit Tigers. I don't think I go one day without seeing this D on something, a hat or t-shirt, jacket or flag. it's pretty much everywhere!
