exploring limitations

read an article on limitations in photography and composing interesting photos within those limitations. this is a water iris. our lake is so high that it was farther away than usual (so much rain!) I'm also on a steep incline trying to hold my camera steady (and not end up in said lake!) since I'm shooting a prime lens no zooming to catch all edges. I guess I liked it this way because the story became less about an iris than a shape and the lines and the organic water droplets. the b&w conversion helped all these stand out as well.
Lovely composition worth the effort. It reminds me of a straight on view of a pheasants or fancy fowl head.
