I've been there jackie, April / May 2009, the city was so quiet on a Saturday morning. Me and my work colleague were approached by the "border police" in "Hart Plaza" ...asked what we were doing (I was photographing buildings) and asked to see our passports...which we did not have on us !!!

@phil_howcroft very odd that they would approach you! the rencen is probably the most photographed building in detroit lol. did you look suspicious??? So very strange...if you ever come back you better let me know!
