library/lounge area at the coffee house I met my cousin at in Hamtramck before our photowalk. this used to be a butcher shop and has the original owner's handwriting on the wall for orders of Easter meats and polish kielbasa. there are tin ceilings and the original cooler is still in place. the bins in front of the counter, also original, are now mailboxes for the people who rent the upper flats. much more charming than starbucks.
