A young bull moose near the shore of a mountain lake. This guy has been hanging out most of the summer and early fall with a large bull moose. The older moose is nicknamed the "Master" and this young guy is the "Apprentice."

You're sure bringing lots of smiles to lots of people with your amazing photography. There is something so special about the moose - maybe their size is some of it - you're sure a master of their photography! Love this shot.

You amaze me with all your nature shots, Jack. This past weekend at the workshop, we were driving down the highway and a moose came out of nowhere and almost sliced our car in half. I want to see a moose, but not on the highway in pitch black darkness of the early morning!

Shooting from a low angle really helps. Beautiful animal, and really nice water effects.

Brings to mind the word "massive"

Did you nickname them, or is it a community thing? Most of your followers must be from North America, as I didn't see any trying to correct you and call it an elk. I think our moose are actually bigger than their "elk", though. It can become kind of comical when you start talking about elk, moose and deer, as they don't have the same image in their minds as what they are seeing us post.
