What does Serenity mean to you?
To me it means peaceful. Here we could look over the valley below us, and we could hear some sheep bleat. The sun was shining and no other people were around........
Oooh that is delicious. Serenity can mean so many different things. I think my favourite is the image of a robin sitting peaceful and secure next to a pounding waterfall. Even in life's harder times, peace is possible. Beautiful image here.
From the latin "serenus", peaceful, calm, fair (OK, I looked it up) through Old French (sérénité) to late Middle English (serenity). I always like an excuse to look up the etymology of words. This looks like a beautiful spot, wherever it is, very serene.
