Spanish holiday day 11 above the Netherlands

Today was our travel day back home. We have seen so much and have had a super holiday! We had mostly clear weather today so I could take several shots.
Here we are over the Netherlands. On the leftside of the middle you can see the fortified city of Brielle. Brielle has cityrights since 1330. And in 1572 it played a big part in the rebellion against the Spanish. I thought this was a nice way to finish my holiday series.
Lovely shot, welcome home 😊

It's a fascinating shot. The formal gardens around Brielle look pretty significant; given the history I think that needs to go on your list of places to visit soon! 😉

Jammer dat je niet s'nachts terug vloog.. dan heb je al die verlichte kassen, of met wat geluk een mooi verlicht Parijs... Maar dit geeft wel mooi weer hoe vlak Nederland is zo met al die landbouw vlakken...

@peadar Hi Pad, I think you refering to the casemates, part of the defense system of the old city, I send you a link so you can see the repair work the city did to keep their part of history intact. https://www.levedevestingbrielle.nl/werk-aan-de-vesting-in-mei/
