I’ve shown allready some of the photo ‘s I made yesterday in museum De Pont in Tilburg.
This collage is deliberate, to give you some idea how i felt......
In the museum they have art from Ann Veronica Janssens called the steamroom. In this room the steam is so thick that you can’t see only very dim shapes. At first I was alone in this room and it was hard to have any sense of direction. I could see some light coming into the room from above (blue photo) after a while some other people came into the room (yellow) and this lady was only 75/80 cms away from me. I found the whole experience rather overwhelming.
So when I came out of the room I was really with my head in the clouds (that and my cold..) I took some steps and stood in the middle of a sandy/glittery mass sprinkled on the ground. As you can guess I stood in the middle of an artwork. The attendant had tried to call me, in a not very loud voice, but I didn’t react to it.
I had to go to reception to give my name but I was very lucky because I was not the first one to step into the sand, pffffff that was quite a relief and to be honest funny too.
So afterwards I had to take a photo of my contribution to this piece of art.
Good heavens Jacqueline - what an experience! A steam room is such an interesting idea - but an artwork that people can unknowingly step on is quite bizarre! I love your collage though!!
