The top page shows a (in my opinion) lovely window with shutters in Mirepoix
And Pont Neuf (New Bridge) in Toulouse where this statue of a little boy with a dunce cap lives. Created by plastic artist, James Colomina.
The bottom page shows a sign to a cheesefarm we saw on our bicycle ride today.
@jacqbb what’s fabulous reminders of your visit.. So much better than photos in so many ways. I am impressed with your skills at re-creating what you see with paint
indeed it is so inspiring. and such industry considering you're on holiday. i might take from your book as my sister and i are thinking of going to chicago to visit my brother in the summer and if we go we will take the train. it would be a long trip but would be a lot of scenery to take in. aces, my friend. aces!
@summerfield Looks like a wonderful trip, I love traveling by train so much to see. If you bring a small jar with water….and a lid you could do some painting. I paint not everyday and work from a photo. Notting better to sit in the shade and doodle 😉
