This is taken in Neuilly sur Seine in the suburbs of Paris, looking up towards the La Défense business district. It was my husband's birthday yesterday and we had a celebration meal in Neuilly, at the Cafe de la Jatte - a favourite of ours. This photo was however taken on Wednesday during my photo walk. After some googling I find that this is Sisyphus - a figure of Greek mythology who was condemned to repeat forever the same meaningless task of pushing a boulder up a mountain, only to see it roll down again. A sculpture by Hans Marks. Best viewed on black, if you have a moment.
