Just as I was leaving to take my Mother in Law to the airport yesterday, I spotted this little fellow in our front garden. He was so cute - loved his little wet nose. I did not pick him up, however!
Really! I had no clue that hedgehogs were a wild animal in France. What a cutie. My niece wants one as a pet in the worst way but her dad is telling her that's something she can do once she lives on her own. Great picture of this one; the rock and flowers add nice touches to the scene.
@lyndemc We get them in the UK and in France too, but this is the first time I've seen one in my garden here. We often see them squashed on the road though! My brother in the south of England puts out food for them at night and has a night vision camera for recording their visits! It's fun to watch their antics.
I would come close to having a happy heart attack to encounter the likes of Mrs Tiggy Winkle (I think she was called!) I'd don't know that I've ever seen one in the zoo or in the wild! They're just about the cutest little animals!!! LOVE-and-then-some!
@Weezilou Yes, Mrs TIggy Winkle indeed. I agree, I love them! They only usually come out at night, so I guess this little girl/boy was a bit lost - he/she was out at lunchtime. Fortunately we were early for the airport run, as I could not let that photo opportunity pass me by!
