I spent most of Saturday in Paris, walking miles and taking the metro occasionally. This is a close up of part of the entrance to the Palais-Royal-Louvre métro on Place Colette. It was redesigned by Jean-Michel Othoniel, as the "Kiosque des noctambules" (Kiosk of the night-walkers), and completed in October 2000 for the centenary of the métro. Two cupolas (one representing the day, the other the night) are made of coloured glass beads that are threaded to a structure of aluminium. It's a lovely, unusual métro entrance.
I had to instantly fav this in the morning, but had no time to leave a proper comment. This is an amazingly interesting picture. Love your comp, the structures, the dof and the spots of gold and colour.
@jyokota I hadn't Junko, as it's quite difficult to get a decent shot of it, as there is always so much going on around about. However, I did have one which I had taken last year. I've posted it onto my Odds and Sods Album if you're interested in having a quick look!
Love the dof and spots of red and gold!
