A very dear friend of mine runs a small family champagne business in a village called Tours sur Marne - about a 3 hour drive from where we live in the outskirts of Paris. When I go across to see her I do what I term the 'Champagne run'. Visiting a friend and buying a load of champagne for me and other friends ... what could be a better combination? I drove over yesterday, and I had really hoped for some photo opportunities on the way there or back, but there was always a reason not to stop ... either no stopping places, or a car right behind me, or no time, or something else. So I ended up coming home last night with no photos! I felt quite frustrated as I wanted to mark the day on my photo journal, so I set this up instead. Better than nothing!
Proprietors of a Champagne vinyard are good friends to have. This looks cool! Especially the vintage. But I know what you mean about photo opportunities you end up looking like a tourist if you are not careful.
Cheers!
That's the kind of friend I would love!! LOL!! This is a wonderful image Issi - the fire reflected in the bottle gives a warm glow - just as the champagne will when you drink it!! Cheers!! Fav!
Cheers!
