@taffy Thanks Taffy - I was delighted to get to take photographs as usually it's not allowed. Because I was with the charity event group I got special dispensation! :-)
Wow, Issi...not allowed to photograph a bookstore? I', SO VERY GLAD they let you take this as the stairs are wonderful and beautifully worn and the quote is absolutely fabulous!!! I have a worn-tread back stairway in Lunenburg, and I think I'd like to write a quote on it in this fashion! It's a seldom used area, but it would be a charming surprise when someone does see it!
@Weezilou I think they don't allow photography because it's such a small cramped space - and it is very picturesque, so they could be overwhelmed with photographers, turning up just for that!
