And following yesterday's art extravaganza, today's feast for the eyes was the Foire de Chatou. A twice annual antique fair. I always try to go, but rarely buy anything. Today I bought a small cashmere pattern Gien plate to match one I bought a couple of years ago. Happy Days.
Such interesting items for sale. Can't help but wonder what one would do with a mannequin head. Then again my oldest son just shared a story about one; he's driving along on a very busy interstate in Virginia and happens to notice two cars stopped on the shoulder, a young woman standing between the two vehicles, a tripod with a mannequin head on it and she's combing its hair! Mike could not believe there wasn't a traffic jam from folks trying to figure out what was going on. ?????
