As part of our joint mission of getting hubby slim and trim (already nearly there) for enjoying his forthcoming retirement, I dragged him out on an 18km walk in Paris yesterday. A double whammy as far as I am concerned, as I get to take photographs and we both get exercise.
We took the metro out to Belleville in the north of Paris, an area I know well for street art, and walked from there back to our apartment in the 16th - stopping for lunch at Brasserie Flo in the 10th. A lovely day.
Belleville! I remember it well, I had friends who lived there who worked at the Église Réformée. I came there to visit a few times. Love that you are working on getting fitter for retirement, brilliant plan! What a fantastic piece of street art. So direct, so colourful.
@casablanca I love it out there - partly because I’m a fan of Edith Piaf. I was showing hubby where she was born and also where her grave sits in Père Lachaise. Such a tragic life she had.
That sounds like such a dreamy day. In contrast, today's conversation here was:
T: It's beautiful out -- sun is really shining. Let's go for a walk
J: I can't...have to read [insert name of student paper]
So I'm most impressed!
