I love this museum on Oslo’s Aker Brygge waterfront. This sculpture is attached to the side of the museum wall and I’ve taken this photograph standing underneath looking up. It's entitled 'Edge II' and it's by British artist, Antony Gormley. The structure you see in the top right is the Sneak Peak, a tower which affords a view of the Fjord. It opens today after being closed for winter, so we’re hoping to get up there later and see what there is to be seen! We also plan visiting some of the islands and Ekebergparken Sculpture park.
Wow. If I were scanning photos in a gallery, the appeal of this one would call to me from across the room. I wonder what one could do at night. Perhaps HDR because of the 2 down facing lights, then replace the sky of that image with a long exposure of the sky?
Very interesting. I wonder if this is the same artist that has the body sculptures all over Dallas. What do you think @louannwarren ?. The bodies look the same.
@jamibann@henrir The nude figures on Craig Hall’s building are by Icelandic sculptor Steinunn Thorarinsdottir. They do bear a striking resemblance to this sculptor!
Wow! Awesome photo and I'm sure the entire scene was quite impressive to see in person!
I had to smile reading your comments going back and forth with Henri and Lou Ann, my fellow Texans. :-)
