Out with the old, in with the new!

These ruins and this house are situated in a fairly remote (!) part of the west coast of Scotland, near Torridon. We passed by when walking on Saturday. A delightful spot, but so terribly isolated. I'd love to know the history of the ruins and the current house. There were curtains in the house, but it didn't look particularly 'lived-in'.

Hi The house is a Holiday home I have passed it many times but i have never seen anyone there. You should have looked inside. Very traditional and cosy. The ruins are an old herring fishing station station

@alligin Thank you for that! How nice to see a comment popping up on such an old post of mine. I've not been back in that neck of the woods since then, although we're just back from a few days in the Loch Lomond area - another beautiful part of Scotland!
