Runrig at Stirling Castle by jamibann

Runrig at Stirling Castle

We went to see a favourite bad of ours on Friday evening, Runrig. After 45 years of music, this is their final tour; 'The Last Dance', and it was being performed at the foot of Stirling Castle. The weather was tricky (summer has long gone ...) but the evening was magical. Wind, rain and sun, but more importantly, a fantastic concert with this castle as a backdrop. A truly memorable evening - with 3 hours of non-stop Runrig music. I last saw them over 30 years ago in Aberdeen. They were good then, but they are fabulous now!
Awesome - love Runrig, the last time we were in Scotland we planned poorly and were there a week before they played at Inverness.

@graemestevens Yes. We got lucky. We had planned a trip to Edinburgh for the festival, and by chance Runrig put on an extra show for the Friday night at Stirling (Saturday night sold out very quickly), so we were able to get tickets and take the train across to Stirling from Edinburgh. :-) Well worth the expense and effort!

@cutekittyThat is dedication! I hope they felt it was worth it. We certainly did. It’s rare that any performer today will play for 3 hours non-stop!
