In His Happy Place

Down by the river Dee, it's where he likes to be. I dropped in by to see how he was doing. No fish, but he was content, nonetheless. Added bonus for me was a haul of brambles on the way home.
Ain’t retirement wonderful! Nice relaxing shot

Looking very content!
There are lots of brambles this year I think.
Indeed lots of fruit. Next weekend is Apple Sunday at Pitmedden Garden but they've been selling some early as there is such a huge crop this year.

@vignouse Do you know what, he did! Much to his own surprise. He caught a salmon at around 5.30 pm - minutes before he was about to pack up and go home. This year is a very poor year - combination of lack of water for most of the summer and the after effects of the 2015 flood.

@sarah19 I made a couple of jars of jelly from yesterday's brambles. I always feel bad making jelly as it seems to be such a waste of fruit - but it is so good! This is my first year of making jelly and I'm getting better at it. The last lot was a bit too firm, this lot seems about right. :-)
