It's dad's 85th birthday tomorrow, so to mark the event, I took him on a 30-minute helicopter flight around the area. He's been on a helicopter before, but not since 1971, so it was a different experience for him! We flew from Culter, near Aberdeen, and went over and around Bennachie, and Scolty hill near Banchory flying up the valley of the River Dee. We were fortunate to get a lovely day for it. Afterwards we had lunch in Ballater. Feeling lucky to be in Scotland and be able to do this with dad.
