Today we went kayaking on the mighty Mekong. It was a fun day and was a good work our for the arms, giving our legs a break! The current was fairly strong, which made it easy as we were travelling down river, but navigating the trees in the 'floating forest' was tricky at times and caused our friends some grief when they ended up stuck on a log! It is now dry season (hence the heat ...) but you can see by these trees the height of the river during the wet season as the roots are all submerged at that time. Another fantastic day in Cambodia!
@taffy We are on a cycling tour with Grasshopper Adventures. Doing it the easy way with our luggage being transferred from place to place. Lazy cycling!
@randystreat It was quite tricky guiding the kayak and taking photos - hence I didn't get many! A soon as I lined up for a photo I needed to use the paddles to prevent running into a tree - the current was quite strong. I was also afraid of tipping the kayak and getting my camera soaked! I only took my little G16 with me - just in case. The big guns stayed safely in my suitcase that day.
