The Lone Scots Pine by jamibann

The Lone Scots Pine

Well, we may not have had snow in the village over the weekend, but we didn't have to walk far to find some yesterday as we walked towards the Coyles of Muick. The weather looked to be turning, so we headed back before arriving at the top. This photo is not in black and white, by the way ... although you could definitely be forgiven for thinking that it is!
My kind of weather...I do like it dreary ;)

I love it’s gnarled shape as a result of resisting the winds for so many years.

VML late Autumn through to mid-Spring, the slowing down of Nature...followed by its tender, delicate rebirth, soft green foliage and longer days. Sigh!
