Burns Day

I thought this was an appropriate post for today, Burns Day the birthday of our Scottish Bard, Rabbie Burns. We went walking at Glen Tanar and met this delightful herd at the end of the walk. They were incredibly obliging for the camera - I'm so used to them turning their backs on me - but these guys and girls were very comfortable with the paparazzi.

Happy Burns night Issi. Neeps, tatties & haggis for tea? Our local free magazine has a Burns night every couple of years & invite all deliverers & staff to celebrate the night properly. We are in between years this year!

I live abroad now so miss out on neeps and tatties! Whenever I'm in Scotland and see a highland cow I can't resist taking a photo. I love the expression on this one's face: you can actually see his eyes as his hair is relatively short!
