Our dear friend Hugh, 93, is using our greenhouse once again this year to grow tomatoes, cucumbers and courgettes. He comes in past every morning and every evening to tend to his crops. On occasion I find a little gift bag at my door. This morning it was full of tomatoes. I look forward to sampling them this lunchtime. It gave me the idea to snap some of the fruits of his labour for this morning's post. I liked the way the light highlighted the hairy tomato stems.
Lucky Hugh & lucky you....nothing like a warm sun kissed home grown tomato! How k8 d to let him use your greenhouse...so lovely to have that interest at 93....will surely keep him young! All those little hairs!
