Hugh's Tomatoes

Our dear friend Hugh, 93, is using our greenhouse once again this year to grow tomatoes, cucumbers and courgettes. He comes in past every morning and every evening to tend to his crops. On occasion I find a little gift bag at my door. This morning it was full of tomatoes. I look forward to sampling them this lunchtime. It gave me the idea to snap some of the fruits of his labour for this morning's post. I liked the way the light highlighted the hairy tomato stems.
Wow - he’s amazing. Such a healthy looking crop.

How wonderful that he continues to share his bounty with you Issi. Tomatoes can't get any better than this. Enjoy!

You've captured some intricate details in this plant. Amazing how a bright red, juicy fruit comes out of the end of that green stem!
