Ah, lovely! I so love writing cards and thinking of all my friends and family, so far flung. It's a joyful thing to do and brings people such pleasure. Just put mine in the post this morning.
Laughing at your address book, you have as many crossing outs as I have in mine! Why do families move about so much? I have written practically all mine too, it’s the ones I have to write in I find the hardest. I’m not so keen on writing them but love receiving them so it has to be done! Buying the stamps is very expensive, I keep saying I will cut down!
@happypat I know, I have a lot of crossed out addresses, and I must find time to rewrite the pages to tidy it up a bit! I love receiving too, so must put in the hours writing the cards to put in the post.
@randystreat That sounds like a good idea, I'm still old fashioned on the Christmas Card front. All hand written, no computer generated letters with glamorous photographs, and, I kind of still like going through the address book and marking, with a different code each year, each card done. Old traditions die hard. I confess however, to doing some Christmas greetings by email - but this is not nearly as satisfying!
So interesting to see this picture. I heard a snippet on the radio yesterday about someone trying to buy some stamps and their local post office had none. I believe she went to three or four different places before she finally was able to buy stamps. Our postal system is unreliable hence I do all my Christmas greetings via email.
