Since Friday, in Scotland we've been allowed to meet with friends and family outdoors (maximum of 8 people). It's weird after not seeing people for so long. A friend dropped by on Friday afternoon for a cup of tea, and to give me 6 fresh hen's eggs. She runs a bed and breakfast which is of course currently closed, and her hens keep on laying ... so she is giving them away. Then on Saturday it was a visit to dad's and yesterday friends came to see us and we had a barbecue and a walk along the river. Such a beautiful weekend of weather and so nice to be able to spend time with friends and family once again - albeit in a very limited way.
Thank you sunshine for being there to make it all much easier. In the rain and cold it would have been very different.
Lovely shot. Let's hope we get no second wave and can just gradually open up more and more now. I am so grateful for the sunshine during Lockdown. If it had been cold and grey, it would have deepened the stress and sadness I think.
Lovely to be able to get together again after so long.
We are having two friends for dinner tomorrow night. They both live alone and have been isolated for nearly 3 months. We have kept in touch by phone and at a distance but tomorrow is a birthday dinner for one of the friends.
Lovely capture, glad you got to spend time with your loved ones . Here we are staying out of it for a few weeks yet(our choice). We both feel it’s too soon while such a lot of people are passing away.
So happy for you that you're able to visit with friends! As soon as it's safe my sister and I will be getting together. Our area has moved from the red zone to the yellow but we're waiting until it's green just to be safe. Nice shot!
Let’s hope and pray that we learn from this experience and strive for patience and understanding.
