I love how mushrooms can achieve their goal of pushing up through the forest floor, so effortlessly. This one seemed to have very recently made it ... I loved how the ground beneath was still disturbed from the upheaval and the cap of the mushroom was still decorated with remnants of the struggle. Isn't nature wonderful?
What a parable for our time too! Super focus and angle on this. You are spending a lot of photography time on your belly in nature methinks! Commando Issi!
@casablanca Ha ha ... yes, but I did have a cushion under me this time round as it was in the back garden and I was dressed for golf, not commando stalking!!! But mushrooms will not wait ... the bugs get at them very quickly once they raise their heads above the parapet!
They pop up so quickly, I expect you could nearly watch them growing if you had the patience. I too love the earthiness of a mushroom & so many varieties. This is a great capture!
(You're always so sweet, checking on me when I go absent. Thanks for bein' a friend!)
