Or so we're told. Not many people grow grapes in Scotland! Our greenhouse vine has been quite prolific, and we have picked over 13 kilos of grapes this year. I've made grape jelly by the gallon, and frozen lots for future grape jelly. We've eaten and continue to eat them fresh and we've given them away. Maybe wine next year?
Lovely shot (my brother makes wine with his grapes; he says he has to add a little sugar to make up for the lost temperature/sun that the Mediterranean area have in abundance )
They look delicious. We had a grape vine on our married quarter in Cyprus and we had one at our house in Melbourne too, none here though so we have to rely on the supermarket now.
These look fantastic - I'm very impressed! We tried - very unsuccessfully and not very hard - to grow grapes from the existing vines on allotment, but falied miserably. Great shot and excellent focus
I’m so impressed Issi....we buy lots of grapes, perhaps we should grow our own....we are getting a greenhouse. Love the POV you have here, it shows them off beautifully.
@happypat The root of our vine is outside the greenhouse, and the trunk comes through the wall, so we don't ever need to water it! All the grapes are inside the greenhouse though. We cut it back severely in the winter and it just keeps on giving. It's a magnificent plant and gives us shade in the greenhouse as it can get too hot in there in summer!
Sounds like you have the perfect setting for them. I love how fresh this shot looks. The bowl is the perfect color to feature the grapes and my they do look delicious! fav
VML the incidental info, wonderful to grow your own grapes. We had our own grapes in the Isle of Man...happy days. VML the comp of this shot...it deserves more than 1 measly fav!
