Morrone Birkwoods

I took a walk amongst the Morrone Birkwoods earlier in the week, to check out my route for leading a walk towards the end of the month.

I was so glad I did. The heather was simply stunning. Thick and purple, just like it should be. I just hope the colour lasts until I take the ladies up there on the 24th!

Off to St. Andrews later today to meet up with a couple of neighbours from our days in Houston. Very much looking forward to seeing them.
